Candidates are encouraged to bring their ATT letter to the test center; however, it is not required for candidate processing.
When arriving at the test center, candidates will be required to present two forms of identification: a primary and secondary form.
After checking in at the Prometric testing center, candidates will be directed to the testing area, have a digital photograph taken and be assigned to a testing station.
The candidate's photograph will be printed on the completion/score report candidates receive after the examination.
A dry-erase board will be provided for use during the examination.
Identification Requirements for AHIMA Certification Exams
Candidate identification (ID) requirements include a primary form of ID that must contain the candidate's signature and picture, and a secondary form of ID that must contain the candidate's signature. Note that the candidate's name on both the primary and secondary forms of ID must be the same as the candidate name that appears on the original application for testing.
Acceptable forms of valid and non-expired primary ID with the candidate's photograph and signatureinclude: Driver's license, State ID card, Government ID card (a military ID card, for example) or Passport.
Acceptable forms of valid and non-expired secondary ID with the candidate's printed name and signature include credit or debit card, Student ID card, or Employee ID card.
Unless specifically listed above, all other forms of ID are unacceptable.
Without acceptable forms of ID, candidates will not be allowed to test and will forfeit the application fee. Prometric reserves the right to deny a candidate from taking the exam if there is a question regarding the validity of any ID presented by a candidate.
One of the best benefits of "on-demand" testing is the availability of immediate scoring. Candidates generally receive their performance results immediate upon the conclusion of their exam. The only exception to this is when an exam is going through an annual update, sometimes referred to as beta testing. The score report includes an overall score, as well as a further breakdown of results by section or domain. The score report also includes additional information about scheduling another attempt.
So, take advantage of "on-demand" testing, and test when you want, when you are ready. And, get your results as soon as you are done - why wait?
