Expert Offers Insight on ICD-10 Coding for Cardiovascular, Other Procedures

Bedford, MA - To help coders master two very difficult areas of ICD-10-PCS coding, Libman Education has released courses on Orthopedic Procedure Coding and Cardiovascular Procedure Coding authored by nationally recognized ICD-10-PCS coding expert Lynn Kuehn, MS, RHIA, CCS-P, FAHIMA. The courses, titled ICD-10-PCS: Orthopedic Procedure Coding and ICD-10-PCS: Cardiovascular Procedure Coding, include Kuehn's unique approach to mastering coding of the top orthopedic and cardiovascular procedures performed in U.S. hospitals.

"I understand the difficulty coders have in visualizing and understanding complicated orthopedic and cardiovascular structures," said Kuehn. "Whether you are new to coding or experienced, accurately and completely coding these intricate surgical procedures is a challenge. This is why I have authored these courses that provide the tools necessary for proficiency in their respective areas."

These online, self-paced courses integrate materials from Lynn Kuehn and Teri Jorwic's award winning ICD-10-PCS: An Applied Approach. The courses include carefully selected sample operative reports illustrating complex and difficult to code orthopedic and cardiovascular procedures. Additionally, they contain nteractive, explanatory images, audio recordings and video animations by industry experts, detailed explanations of the coding process, and check yourself quizzes to ensure material is being mastered.
