EvriChart Adds MPI Solution
EvriChart has introduced MPI Cleanup, a software-as-a-service solution that helps providers maintain an error-free master patient index (MPI).
The Web-based system uses algorithms to identify duplicate information, typographical errors and invalid data. It can also identify the department or individual causing the errors.
A clean MPI can improve patient safety, reduce errors and prevent double-billings, the company noted.
Brit Systems Debuts SR Solution
BRIT Systems has unveiled BRIT SpeechWorks, a speech recognition and structured reporting solution that converts dictation into structured data. The solution also builds a database of information that can be used for coding, analysis or data mining.
Users can report findings through one or more combinations of natural language reporting, voice dictation via recording a file, typing or by signing the default, two-click normal report. The application can also be customized to appear differently to different users.
Two New Solutions From NaviNet
NaviNet has launched NaviNet Sponsor and NaviNet Enterprise to give health plans access to more than 750,000 providers currently in the company's provider network. The solutions build upon a health plan's current systems and processes to deliver a provider Web portal that decreases administrative costs and improves provider relations and patient care.
Sponsor offers a low-cost approach to connectivity that lets health plans add new features at their own pace. Enterprise lets health plans develop unique offerings to create additional value.

Ingenix Takes AIM
Ingenix has acquired AIM Healthcare Services Inc. and its affiliated companies. AIM is a provider of payment accuracy solutions for health care clients across the country.
Ingenix will expand its solutions through access to AIM's universal connectivity platform, broad network of payer and provider clients and on-site teams of health care experts. The companies will offer a single source for payment accuracy solutions for health plans and hospitals, so payers and providers can connect to reconcile errors and improve claims processing.
"Together, Ingenix and AIM will focus on making administrative and payment processes simple, standard and intelligent for the entire health care system," said Andy Slavitt, CEO, Ingenix.
Bloodhound and Emdeon Join Forces
Claims editing and analytics provider Bloodhound Technologies has partnered with Emdeon, a provider of revenue cycle solutions, to deliver a new claims processing solution.
The partnership unites Emdeon's pre-adjudication logic with Bloodhound Technologies' ConVergence Point clinical code integrity platform. The new solution enables in-stream claims editing before the claim is delivered to the payer, explained George Lazenby, CEO, Emdeon. It also follows protocols from the American Medical Association and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
HighPoint Announces Partnership
HighPoint Solutions has partnered with database software provider Greenplum to help customers keep systems in top shape.
"Greenplum's database software enables faster analytics and maximum performance and reliability," said Stuart Schiffman, vice president of business intelligence, HighPoint Solutions.
HighPoint will implement Greenplum software and provide a hosted analytics solution. Brandon McKay, director of managed services, HighPoint Solutions, said hosted solutions can help companies improve financial efficiency.
MxSecure Among "Brilliant Companies"
Entrepreneur magazine named MxSecure one of the "Hot 100" companies. The magazine identified 10 companies in each of 10 areas that are "juicing the economy." MxSecure was highlighted for its "stellar business model" in health care, according to Entrepreneur.

Axolotl and Initiate Collaborate for HIE
Axolotl Corp. and Initiate Systems Inc. have partnered to provide solutions that promote patient identification and interoperability between hospitals, integrated delivery networks, regional health care information organizations and statewide health information exchanges.
Axolotl clients can take advantage of Initiate's patient identification solution, which now interoperates with the Elysium product suite.
