MC STRATEGIES ANNOUNCES WEB-BASED RADIOLOGY PROGRAM MC Strategies Inc. recently announced a new Web-based radiology program designed to meet the continuing education needs of radiology technologists. Registered radiology technologists (RRTs) must fulfill specified continuing education requirements every two years to stay accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT). This new WebInservice program allows a broad range of radiology technologists to acquire the continuing education (CE units) they need to meet the ARRT standards. Since the WebInservice learning modules are Web-based, technologists can access the program whenever they have the time and access to the Internet.
3M SOFTWARE IMPROVES OASIS ACCURACY 3M Health Information Systems division released 3M Advanced Compliance Edit (ACE) Software, a home care management tool designed to help clinicians recognize inaccuracies and inconsistencies in OASIS assessment responses, and improve clinician documentation and data collection for reporting and monitoring activities. 3M ACE Software is a new application of 3M's comprehensive home health practice management system, which integrates clinical and financial patient data to optimize the effectiveness of home health care agencies.

PHILIPS, WINSCRIBE ENTER INTO PARTNERSHIP Royal Philips Electronics and the New Zealand based provider of dictation products WinScribe announce a global distribution partnership agreement. WinScribe will only integrate and promote Philips SpeechMagic in its digital dictation solutions and distribute it in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific region. With a sales partner network of more than 50 companies in North America, WinScribe is the fastest growing vendor of digital dictation systems in the United States. This partnership strengthens the positions of both companies in the American document creation market.
In the first stage, Philips will offer speech recognition for the medical and legal markets in the United States and will broaden its focus to other industries in the near future.
